Hi,
Please note, the US and A-Z World Coins links show pictured coins. They are imaged at a resolution so you can enlarge them using your browser's zoom feature (IE-7) or CTL + "+" (Firefox) without loss of detail. The Misc. Coin Lots includes stuff that isn't pictured.
Today I've added some more latest acquisitions to the World coin section under the Misc. Link and have imaged a few others in the A-Z listings.
I've added quite a few Palestinian coins - including the key coin to the whole 57 coin Palestinian Mandate series, the very rare and lowest mintage 1941 20 Mils. It's a nice problem-free original coin, with uniform steel-grey surfaces and a very nice edge. A perfect addition to the VF/XF set. Now considering the garbage that gets slabbed with AU and better grades that are spotty often with orange corrosion, and the prices dealers and auctioneers ask, this coin is a steal at only $ 225.00 (net, no further discounts).
Most coins are identified using standard references. For World coins this is primarily the Standard Catalog of World Coins series by Krause, Mishler and Bruce. I also use Craig's old book primarily for the numbering of coins that Krause Publications has yet to re-index. For US coins it is A Guide Book of United States Coins by R. S. Yeoman. For US and World stamps this is usually the Scott catalog system, but also the Gibbons numbers are used for British Commonwealth material as well.
