Lot #42: 32 Different Imperial China Dollar Copies. All identified with Kann number. Most are old contemporary counterfeits that were placed into circulation during the turbulent years of 1911 to 1916. Some are silver alloy of lowered than standard fineness and others are base alloy with silver wash. Dates of coins range from 1889 (Kwangtung) to 1911 (Tientsin Central Mint). A nice set for forgery detection/comparison. The following provinces/districts are represented: An-Hwei, Che-Kiang, Chihili, Foo-Kien, Heilungkiang, Hu-Peh, Kiangnan, Kirin, Kwangtung, Peking, Szechuan, Tai-Ching-Ti-Kuo (1908), Tientsin (1911 patterns and regular strike) and Yun-nan. At under $ 4.00 per coin a decent buy at $ 119.00.
